Books
One of my favourite things in life is a good book. From a young age I have always loved wandering around book stores and could spend hours on the floor of a bookshop with a few prospective book choices and a coffee in hand. I always want to read more, have more time to read and accumulate a beautiful library of knowledge and wonder.
I have comprised a brief list of all the books I've read in recent years (some of which I have reviewed on the blog here already).
All-Time Favourites

This is a new novel by an Irish writer about an Irish girl who moves abroad. I'm super excited to read it.

A timeless classic. I began reading these book in the Irish language when I was at primary school which was way too difficult and really put me off. I decided to try again just under a year ago and finished the series in 6 or 7 months. I fell in love. I am now a Potterhead. I love Dobby with my whole heart and I know I will read the whole series again very soon. I will also 100 per cent read these books to my children one day.

I'm currently listening to this as an audio book and really enjoying it. I will post a better review when I finish it.

We all know I am Disney obsessed, and this book was so exciting to read. I loved having an insight into the mind of the man who is currently in charge of my favourite company. I devoured this book in two week! (which for me is very quickly)

The midnight library by Matt Haig is one of those change your life, alter your brain chemistry kind of books. Even though this book delves into the realm of mental health, the story remains strong and gripping throughout. Matt Haigs writing is one that really speaks to me and I’m such a big fan of his work.

I have realised recently that Sci-Fi and fantasy is my thing. This trilogy might be one of my favourite book series ever. I am so invested in the characters and just want more and more. You can find my YouTube review in my blog section.

Such a beautiful story. I have seen the film of this book and now I a reading it and it's just so heartwarming.

Normal people by Sally Rooney. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, you’ll know this book to be a very important part of recent Irish culture. This past seller dives into the lives of two teenagers making their way through college at Trinity College Dublin for someone who grew up in Dublin and went to college very near Trinity this is such a relatable book. I’ve read all of Sally Rooney’s novels now and I really love them all but this one is definitely my favourite.

This was a fun read as I always like a good biography, but I couldn't really relate to Dolly in ways I knew some of my friends might. (Full review on YouTube)

I am a big fan of Matt Haig, his books on mental health have truly helped me to survive. This novel is super easy to read and a lovely story that makes you appreciate life a little more.

Okay let’s be honest here this series has absolutely blown up recently. It’s a TikTok fave and everyone I know has read it. The thing is I just didn’t think it was that great. I enjoyed the stories but I think if you’ve read any of the Game of Thrones books you can see that there’s a lot of similarities except the writing in a court of Thorn and roses series is just not as good. Still worth a read but not worth the hype in my opinion.

I am a big fan of Jojo Moyes, I think I have read almost all of her books and this was her most recent release so I had to read it. I listened to it as an audio book and really enjoyed it. I love the way Moyes creates really indepth characters that I become really invested in. This was a little different that what I would usually read as it was set in the cowboy era, which took me a little getting used to, but once I did I was entralled.

As soon as I found out Tom Hanks was releasing a series of short stories I pre-ordered the collection. I obviously think Tom Hanks is a wonderful actor but i thought, you know what, a man with that much life experience is such to have something interesting to say. And I was right. I love that fact that the book is a collection of short stories because sometimes you want to feel like you've accomplished something. But also, they were so interesting and different but also well written and relatable. Definitely worth the read.

I am obsessed with this trilogy. As soon as I heard Netflix was making it I ordered the three books straight away. Super fun and easy to read, I love some teen fiction.

One of the first 'behind the scenes' Disney books I read. An insight into the world or Pixar from the Co-Founder himself.

This book is about life and death and learning to make the most of what you have. It’s a beautiful novel. The writing is easy to read and I highly recommend giving this a go. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

A light hearted memoir and inspiration for anyone trying to make it in entertainment.

An easy read, very touching and despite being a young adult novel, this is one I think everyone should read.
I'm also a big fan of audiobooks. I walk to work most of the time and love listening to audiobooks on my way. I use Audible and they have some fab offers!
